Japanese Jazz Special

A 2 track funk single (3m 36s) — released March 29th 2010 on Mukatsuku

As we slip into the early months of Spring 2010 what better than a delightful slice of Jazz from one of Japan's most famous Nu Jazz producers Tatsuo Sunaga and his Sunaga T Experience project. Tatsuo has had over 150 releases including compilations, remixes and production for other artists over the last 15 years or so. These two tracks presented here in edited form are taken from Tatsuo's 4th & latest CD only album Jazz et Jazz which came out on Japan label Geneon in late 2009.A Kite features Jukka Eskola & Timo Lassy - both artists in their own right and members of The Five Corners Quintet from Finland label, Ricky Tick. On the flipside Finland singer songwriter Sofia Finnnila covers the Horace Silver classic The St Vitus Dance.

Doing their bit for international relations Japan’s Tatsuo Sunaga and Finland’s Jukka Eskola and Timo Lassy combine for this uplifting piece of cross cultural jazz. - DJ Magazine
