Mukatsuku Records kick off 2009 with another dose of hard to find Japanese super rare funkiness + two dance floor bombs pressed on a limited edition heavy 180 gram vinyl 12 inch for the London based strictly vinyl only label. A side is legendary Blue Note guitarist Grant Green getting the remix treatment from Japan's most famous DJ….Muro for a super rare remix. This is the first time the track has been made commercially available on vinyl anywhere. On the flipside is the Japanese latin band Orquesta De La Luz remixed by Kyoto Jazz Massive. The edit on the Mukatsuku 12 is a brand new unreleased edited version never heard before with most of the vocal parts removed to allow the fantastic instrumentation to shine through. This release has recieved 5 out of 5 review in DJ Magazine and so far DJ and airplay support has come from Jazzanova,Kevin Beadle(Solar Radio),Craig Charles(BBC 6),Simbad,Martin Brew(Fat City),Pete Isaac(Jelly Jazz),Diesler,Rob Luis (Tru Thoughts/Totally Radio),Love Monk crew,Simon S(Futuristica),Perry Louis(Jazzcotech).Nick from Record Kicks and many more....

As a collector of jazz the name Grant Green simply means quality, a guitarist of supreme talent who recorded for the legendary Blue Note. Here Japan’s Muro dissects, tears, rips and pulls the parts of this cut apart and sticks ‘em all back together with a tube of funk. Kyoto Jazz Massive get to grips with the previously unreleased version of the Latin stonker ‘Carnaval’, nuff said yeah? - Yogi Houghton DJ Magazine
