After Guynamite's first EP release towards the end of 2007 which received global press and DJ attention, Mukatsuku Records release another value for money strictly vinyl only five track EP with the imaginative title of……yep you guessed it…EP 2. Radio 1 DJ Gilles Peterson previously chose the track 'Those Eyes' from EP 1 not only to play two weeks in a row on his national BBC Worldwide show but also to select the track to play each night of his full Autumn 2007 European tour with Japanese band and Brownswood Records signing Soil & Pimp Sessions. Guynamite is of course non other than London multi talented instrumentalist & composer Guy Benton. This is the second in three EP's planned for the Mukatsuku label which not only hope's to show off a selection of varied styles and moods but also some fantastic vocalists . A1.The Who was recorded with Houston based singer Krystal Hardwick who was traveling around Europe with sessions in Italy & Switzerland before she landed in London to co write this opening track. The Who is about a girl's suspicions of what her boyfriend is up to and finally realizing that his indiscressions may not have been an isolated incident. A2.The Pressure developed when Guy was experimenting fusing broken beat rhythms with old school garage bass lines. 'I could always hear a scat idea so I got D.ablo (ever the jazz enthusiast)to come over and help me realize the vision with a simple chorus refrain and a couple of verses alongside with Selina Campbell who was first featured on the EP 1. B1. 'Start Again' is a gorgeous poetic soul gem in the true sense featuring another talented vocalist and composer, D.ablo. This 26 year old is also one of the uk's most skilled UK steel drummers and in the past has performed and featured on releases with Jehst, Chris Offilli & TerraFirma. This track will also feature on the new CDR club night cd compilation. B2. Light At The End is a poignant and contemplative string laden theme piece . B3.Shannon's Honeymoon is an instrumental co produced with another London producer Analog Jones. DJ/radio support Patrick Forge (Kiss Fm) Yoshihiro Okino (Kyoto Jazz Massive/Especial Records) Michael Ruetten (Soul Patrol) Jazzanova (Sonar Kollektiv) Kevin Beadle (Solar Radio) Toshio Matsuura (Fukuoka/Tokyo Fm) Simon S (Futuristica) Dom Servini (Wah Wah 45's) Atjazz -(Mantis Recordings)
